Please note that this event IS a "stay-to-play," meaning all athletes & coaches are REQUIRED to book hotel rooms through Varsity’s housing partner, Team Travel Source, by using the link provided below. We have secured rooms at both Marriott Tampa Water Street and JW Marriott. Please only book one room per athlete.

Housing Exemption: Booking on Points

In the event that you have enough personal Marriott points to cover your ENTIRE hotel stay, you allowed to do so. If you choose to book on your points, please read the important instructions below:

• Step 1: Book your stay using the hotel’s website directly.
• Step 2: After booking, you must then complete the Housing Exemption Form (linked below). 2025 ITINERARY

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23

  • All Athletes Must Arrive in Tampa (any time on this day)

THURSDAY, APRIL 24 - Prelims

  • Mavericks & Trailblazers compete in the Preliminary Round of Competition at Tampa Convention Center

  • Day 1 of Competition - Reminder! No activities in the sun on competition day such as Busch Gardens or the swimming pool. Competition Days are great for activities such as boating in the marina, walking around downtown, trying the restaurants, shopping, and visiting the Aquarium.

FRIDAY, APRIL 25 - Finals

  • Teams must advance from Prelims to compete in Finals

SATURDAY, APRIL 26

  • All Athletes May Depart

Rounds and Advancements

  • Wild Card Round: Teams who receive a Wild Card bid will compete in the Wild Card round. The Top 8 teams in each Wild Card division will advance to the final round of competition.

  • Preliminary Round: Teams who receive an At Large, Partial-Paid or Paid Bid will compete in the Preliminary Round. The number of teams advancing to Finals from Semi-Finals will be based on 50% of the division competing on the day of competition but will be no fewer than 8 teams and no more than 14 teams. Divisions with an odd number of teams will round up (ie: 19 teams will advance 10 teams).

  • Finals: Teams who advance from Wild Card and Preliminary rounds will compete in the Finals. Regardless of placement, ties will not be broken at The Youth Summit, nor will ties impact the number of teams advancing in each round of competition. Exception: if there is a tie for the final team advancing, both teams will advance.
