Safety is the foundation of the Mustang Cheer program. We are laser-focused on all aspects of athlete and family protection with proactive measures for preparation and prevention. Through comprehensive athlete-protection protocols, industry expert-developed emergency plans, and robust staff trainings, Mustang aims to ensure the safety of our guests and the security of our facility at every level. Additionally, Mustang has appointed a Safety Director to oversee the implementation of our comprehensive safety program. Although we do not publish all of our safety measures, below is an overview of Mustang’s safeguards.
Staff Hiring and Training
Mustang undertakes robust hiring and training procedures to obtain the top talent and best coaches in the country. Mustang’s hiring and training protocols include:
Multi-state background screenings
Annual achievement of greenlight status with the United States All-Star Federation (USASF) for all-star team coaches
Continuous training and certification of all coaches in tumbling, stunting and cheer skills
First aid training and CPR certification
Workplace Violence Prevention and Training
Ongoing Praesidium Academy and SAFE@All-Star Training

Weather and Emergency Events
Mustang Cheer trains staff to recognize and act quickly in an inclement weather situation in order to protect our athletes, families, guests, and staff. While monitoring the weather, we have plans for taking cover and notifying families when necessary that include:
